Sealed bids will be received by Duval County Public Schools, Division of Facilities, Room 535, 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207 until the time and date(s) recorded below and immediately thereafter publicly opened and recorded in the Duval County Public Schools, School Board Building, located at 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, Florida, 5th Floor, Room 513D. BIDS ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE MARCH 17, 2016 AND WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 2:00 p.m. OFFICIAL PROJECT TITLE: Life Safety Egress Project-Group 3B at Schools No. 234 and 247/DCSB Project No. M-83680/OFDC-ITB-008-16. SCOPE OF WORK: The project includes new double acting doors in classrooms; smoke doors; hardware; CMU; Electrical includes fire alarm devices, emergency exit signs; associated demo, flooring, painting, millwork adjustments at two (2) schools, Stonewall Jackson Elementary School No. 234 and Joseph Finegan Elementary School No. 247. The estimated construction cost is not to exceed $230,000. All contractors that are interested in bidding are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference to be held February 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Duval County Public Schools, 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32207, Room 513D. Failure to attend the pre-bid conference shall result in disqualification of that firm’s proposal. Attendees will be required to sign an attendance register. Project funding is subject to availability of funds as authorized by the Owner. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
