Project Description: State Road (S.R.) 526 (Robinson Street) Concept Development Study from N. Hughey Avenue to Maguire Boulevard in the City of Orlando

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a concept development study on the Robinson Street corridor between Hughey Avenue and Maguire Boulevard in the City of Orlando. This study is being undertaken by the FDOT in partnership with the City of Orlando. In the Spring of 2017, FDOT completed a planning study for the Robinson Street corridor, with broad input from corridor stakeholders and the public. The planning study identified and evaluated a full range of strategies to address multimodal safety and mobility along Robinson Street. The preferred alternatives identified in the planning study address the varying needs of each of the character districts along the corridor. This concept development study included an engineering analysis of the alternatives previously identified and will determine the best solution that may be advanced for design and construction. [Design and construction phases for Robinson Street are currently not funded.]

The meeting is with the Robinson Street Community Liaisons Group (CLG) to review the latest concept development plans. The CLG is made up of representatives from the neighborhoods, schools, large employers, and other stakeholders along Robinson Street. It is not an independent decision-making board. The CLG has served as a liaison between the FDOT study team and the broader community as part of the study’s planning phase.
