Notice of Bid
The University of Florida, Purchasing Services will receive sealed bids for the following: ITB14MB-135, Weil Hall Chiller Replacement - Plant #1 - Chiller #4, estimated budget: $500,000.00, to be opened Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at 971 Elmore Drive, Elmore Hall Conference Room 101, Gainesville FL. Scope of Work: The work includes: Replace existing water cooled centrifugal chiller with new 1700 ton chiller (provided by UF) along with associated starter. Replace existing primary pump with new along with its associated VFD. Replace two existing condenser water pumps with new and their associated pump starters with new VFDs. All existing piping specialties serving existing chillers and pumps being replaced are to be replaced with new. Upgrade electrical services and feeders as required accommodating the new chillers and pumps. Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., in Utilities Conference Room 143, Bldg. 702, Physical Plant Division, Gainesville, FL. Mandatory site visit to follow. It will be the sole responsibility of the attendees to allow sufficient time to ensure prompt attendance as doors will close at set time.
