PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect of these rule amendments is to clarify the requirements that must be met to allow the Department to issue certifications of vital records, to update forms and remove redundant language. The Department is also clarifying language and combining fees for like services to reduce unnecessary rules. The Department is creating of a new rule to address research requests for data.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: All rule sections in this chapter have been revised to better align with the changes the Bureau wishes to implement and to improve customer service to our partners and public clientele by updating forms, removing redundancy and obsolete forms. The Department is also creating a new rule to address research requests for data.
