The Board of Medicine hereby gives notice:

That on April 22, 2016, an Order was filed on the Petition for Waiver or Variance. The Petition for Waiver or Variance was filed on behalf of Paul M. Goldberg, M.D., on March 9, 2016, seeking a waiver from subparagraph 64B8- 8.0011(7)(b),2.d., F.A.C., with regard to the 20 mile geographic proximity for Petitioner’s monitoring physician during the probationary period. The Notice was published in Volume 42, No. 49, of the Florida Administrative Register, on March 10, 2016. The Board, at its meeting held on April 8, 2016, voted to grant the Petition for Waiver or Variance finding that the Petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship; that application of the rule would violate the principles of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met.
