Final Order No. DEO-16-052
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued Final Order No. DEO-16-052 on April 26, 2016, in response to an application submitted by the Cinnamon Homeowners Association, Inc. for covenant revitalization under Chapter 720, Part III, Florida Statutes.
The Department’s Final Order denied the application for covenant revitalization after determining that it did not meet the statutory requirements as the application lacked the approval of a majority of the affected parcel owners, in violation of Section 720.405(6), Florida Statutes, and violated Section 720.405(5), Florida Statutes, by allowing only eleven (11) days - instead of the fourteen (14) days required by statute - between the notice to the parcel owners and the holding of the special meeting.
