NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Construction Industry Licensing Board declined to answer the petition for declaratory statement filed by Robert Scott McClure. Petitioner asks the Board whether sheet metal roofing falls under the scope of a Certified Sheet Metal Contractor.

The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Vol. 46, No. 12, on January 17, 2020, in the Florida Administrative Register. The Board, at its meeting held on February 14, 2020, declined to answer the petition due to the scope of practice questions and also Petition is asking about the authority of the local building office requiring him to have a roofing license and the Board has no jurisdiction over this question.
