GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This is a third workshop to discuss proposed amendments to Chapter 62B-36, F.A.C., as a result of changes made to the beaches funding program in 2019, as codified in Chapter 2019-122, Laws of Florida. Those changes revise the criteria that the Department must consider in determining and assigning annual funding priorities for beach management and erosion control projects and revise certain statutory provisions that the Department must consider with respect to managing inlets. Notice of Development of Rulemaking was published in the FAR on October 14, 2019. A copy of the draft rule language and project ranking trials may be obtained by visiting the Beaches Funding Program website at https://floridadep.gov/rcp/beaches-funding-program.
