Board of Physical Therapy Practice

The Board of Physical Therapy Practice hereby gives notice of issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed October 7, 2015, by Sandipkumar Patel. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published October 21, 2015, in Vol. 41, No. 205, of the Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance from or waiver of the provision of paragraph 64B17-3.003(2)(a), F.A.C., which requires foreign credentialing evaluations used by other states to be on the appropriate FSBPT coursework tool. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on November 6, 2015, in Safety Harbor, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed November 24, 2015, denied the petition finding that the Petitioner had failed to demonstrate how he has met the purpose of the underlying statute by other means.
