NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal (Department), received a Petition for Declaratory Statement from Stephen C. Hesson, Assistant Fire Chief, City of Gainesville, on May 26, 2020. The Petition asks whether the Technoport entry and exit system on the submitted exhibits constitute a turnstile, if the NFPA permits turnstiles to be installed where revolving door assemblies are permitted, and if the turnstiles are considered a barrier obstructing the approach to an exit as identified in the NFPA.
