The Board of Massage Therapy hereby gives notice of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on June 13, 2013, by Frank X. Lovato. The Notice of Petition for Waiver or Variance was published in Vol. 39, No. 117, of the June 17, 2013, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a waiver or variance of Rule 64B7-25.004, F.A.C., The Petitioner seeks a permanent waiver of the requirement that an applicant for licensure by endorsement complete a current curriculum course from a Board approved school covering the Florida Statutes and rule related to massage therapy. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on October 24, 2013, in Sarasota, Florida.
The Board’s Order, filed on November 6, 2013, denied the petition because applicant has not met or cannot meet the purpose of the underlying statute.
