NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Florida Department of Corrections has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by inmate Manuel Vega, DC#X16273 on June 17, 2014. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:

Pursuant to section 120.81(3), Florida Statutes, the Department lacks jurisdiction to issue a declaratory statement to inmates. As an inmate of the Florida Department of Corrections, Manuel Vega, DC#X16273, may only participate in administrative proceedings pursuant to Sections 120.54(3)(c) and (7), Florida Statutes.
