    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 01, 2024, the Department of Environmental Protection, received a petition for waiver pursuant to Section 120.542, F.S. from SaniTrax, LLC. The petitioner requested a waiver from Florida Administrative Code paragraph 62.701.520(5)(d), which requires that treated biomedical waste shall be disposed of only at permitted Class I landfills or incinerators used to combust solid waste. SaniTrax proposes that the sorted, segregated, and treated biomedical waste metals be sent for recycling at a metal recycling facility. The facility is located at 1504 Sydney Road, Plant City, FL 33566. The amended petition has been assigned OGC # 24-2220.
