    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Board of Physical Therapy Practice has received the petition for declaratory statement from Jamie Dyson, P.T., D.P.T., on August 6, 2020.The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Section 456.51, F.S. as it applies to the petitioner.

    The Petitioner seeks a Declaratory Statement from the Board asking whether portions of routine physical therapy provided to a patient in various circumstances constitutes a “pelvic examination” under s. 456.51, F.S., which prohibits health care practitioners from performing a routine pelvic examination without the written consent of the patient. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after the publication of this notice.
