The Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board hereby gives notice that on August 22, 2016, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance or Waiver. The Petition for Variance or Waiver was filed by Kurt Hartless on July 13, 2016, seeking a variance or waiver from paragraph 61J1-4.010(1)(c), F.A.C., that a supervisory appraiser be in good standing in the same jurisdiction in which the trainee appraiser practices for a minimum of four (4) years. The Notice was published in Volume 42, No. 140, of the Florida Administrative Register on July 20, 2016. The Board, at its meeting held on August 1, 2016, voted to deny the Petition for Variance or Waiver finding that the Petitioner did not demonstrate a substantial hardship; that application of the rule did not violate the principles of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute had not been met.
