NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Florida Real Estate Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by George Mosle and Alison Williams on May 08, 2018. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:

The original Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Vol. 44, No. 97, of the May 17, 2018, Florida Administrative Register. The Petitioner sought the Commission’s interpretation of Rule 61J2-3.012, F.A.C., regarding equivalency standards for the pre-licensing education requirements set forth in paragraph 475.17(2)(a), Florida Statutes, which applies to Florida real estate sales associate and broker applicants and subsection 475.181(2), Florida Statutes, which requires an applicant to pass the licensing examination within two years of completing the pre-licensing education requirement. The Commission considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on June 20, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. At its meeting, the Commission denied the Petition finding that Petitioner did not meet the criteria and procedure pursuant to subparagraph 475.17(2)(a)1., F.S. and subsection 61J2-3.008(1), F.A.C. The Order was filed on August 1, 2018.
