The Board of Acupuncture hereby gives notice: that on July 10, 2019, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance or Waiver. The Petition for Waiver or Variance was filed by Mariana Beckman, on May 31, 2019, seeking a waiver or variance from subsection 64B1-4.001(4), F.A.C., requiring that all applicants must have 60 hours study in injection as listed. The Notice was published in volume 45, no. 110 of the Florida Administrative Register, on June 6, 2019. The Board, at its meeting held on June 28, 2019, in Champions gate, Florida, voted to deny the Petition for Variance or Waiver finding that the Petitioner did not demonstrate a substantial hardship; that application of the rule did not violate the principles of fairness; and that the purpose of the underlying statute was not met.
