    NOTICE OF CHANGE

    Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 40, No. 167, August 27, 2014 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

     

    Rule 6A-6.0573 and forms incorporated by reference are amended as follows:

    (9)(b) School districts shall submit any requests to include an industry certification, not on the preliminary “CAPE Industry Certification Funding List,” to the final “CAPE Industry Certification Funding List” to the Department of Education. The Department shall grant the request based upon the following criteria:

     

    (12) Funding Weights for “CAPE Industry Certifications” and “CAPE Acceleration Industry Certifications.” Pursuant to Section 1011.62(1), F.S., the weight used for “CAPE Industry Certifications” and “CAPE Acceleration Industry Certifications” in the Florida Education Finance Program (FEFP) shall be based on statewide articulation agreements approved by the State Board of Education, effective 6-25-2014, in Rule 6A-10.0401, F.A.C.(insert link), which is incorporated herein by reference. A copy of Rule 6A-10.0401, F.A.C. may be obtained from the Department of Education, Room 744, Turlington Building, 325 West Gaines Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399.

     

    (13)(c)1.b. All written tests proctored by the individual providing direct instruction are is independently monitored by a second individual who does not provide direct instruction for the industry certification to the individuals taking the test(s).

    Delivers academic content through instruction relevant to the career, including intensive reading and mathematics intervention required by s. 1003.4282, F.S., with an emphasis on strengthening reading for information skills.

    Integrate career and professional academy or career-themed course content with intensive reading,

    English Language Arts, and mathematics pursuant to ss. 1003.428 and 1003.4282, F.S.
