NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by G.B. Collins Engineering, P.A. on May 23, 2018. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:
Petitioner requested an answer to the following question, based upon the project described within the petition: For the prospective projects, should the proposed interactive water features be considered when calculating the “size of pool” for the purpose of determining the type and number of fixtures for sanitary facilities at the accompanying public swimming pools? On August 15, 2018, the Commission provided the following answer: Yes. Pursuant to section 454.1.6.1.1 and table 454.1.6.1, Florida Building Code, Building, 6th Edition (2017), and section 403.6 and table 403.6 Florida Building Code, Plumbing, 6th Edition (2017), the size of the proposed interactive water features is required to be included when calculating the “size of pool” for the purpose of determining the type and number of fixtures for the sanitary facilities for the projects in question.
