73B-21.006. Representation

  • 1(1) In proceedings before the Commission, a party may represent himself or herself, or be represented by an authorized representative.

    21(2) Unless notification of continued representation is filed with the Commission, a party’s representative in proceedings before an appeals referee shall not retain such status before the Commission.

    49(3) A party’s representative before the Commission shall remain the representative of record and shall receive all notices, documents, correspondence and orders until notice of withdrawal is filed with the Commission.

    80(4) A request for approval of a fee to be paid by the claimant, if any fee is charged by a claimant’s representative for services performed before the Commission, shall be in writing and received by the Commission no later than 15 days after the Commission’s order ruling on the case. The request must include a description of the time spent and services rendered in connection with the Commission appeal, and the amount of the proposed fee.
