40B-21. Water Shortage Plan |
1(1) Each 3water 4user shall be classified according to one or more of the following use classes and subclasses of water:
22(a) Indoor uses, which include water used for indoor personal and household needs, and similar needs at businesses;
40(b) Essential uses of water for fire fighting purposes, health and medical purposes, and to satisfy federal, state, or local public health and safety requirements;
65(c) Agricultural uses, such as production of vegetable and other crops, citrus and fruit trees, nursery plants, pasture, sod, aquaculture, soil flooding, and freeze protection. This classification includes the following subclasses:
961. Low pressure/low volume irrigation systems;
1022. High pressure/high volume irrigation systems;
1083. Flood/seepage irrigation systems;
1124. Soil flooding;
1155. Freeze protection.;
1186. Livestock care;
1217. Aquaculture.
123(d) Commercial and industrial uses in which water is integral to the production of goods and services, including power generation. This classification includes the following subclasses:
1491. Phosphate mining and beneficiation, including all primary and ancillary uses of water in the mining, beneficiation, and transport of phosphate ore and associated products.
1742. Chemical products processing or manufacturing, including all primary and ancillary uses of water in the manufacturing of phosphate chemicals, fertilizers, chlorine, lead, zinc, and other chemicals.
2013. Limestone, sand, gravel, or other minerals mining, including all primary and ancillary uses of water in the mining, processing, and transport of limestone, sand, gravel, or other mineral products.
2314. Cement, concrete, and concrete products manufacturing, including all primary and ancillary uses of water integral to the manufacturing of cement, concrete, and concrete products.
2565. Perishable foods processing, including the use of water for the processing of such perishable foods as citrus, strawberries, and tomatoes.
2776. Perishable foods packing, including the use of water in the packing of perishable foods.
2927. Bottled water and other beverage products, including the use of water for direct bottling or the production of beer, wine, soft drinks, or other beverages.
3188. Power generation, including the use of water for steam generation and the use of water for cooling and for replenishment of cooling reservoirs.
3429. Other industrial and commercial uses. Includes all such activities not elsewhere sub-classified.
355(e) Water utility use, which may include both water used for potable supply and water used for maintaining and operating the supply system;
378(f) Landscape irrigation, which is the outdoor irrigation of grass, trees and other plants in places such as residences, businesses, golf courses, parks, recreational areas, cemeteries, and public buildings; and
408(g) Miscellaneous uses such as aesthetic ponds, fountains and water features, environmental restoration or enhancement, cooling and air conditioning, and navigation.
