NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Nursing has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Deborah C. Bueno on July 06, 2018. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition: The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Volume 44, No. 134, of the July 11, 2018 Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner asks whether writing a Do Not Resuscitate (“DNR”) order on a hospitalized inpatient who requests that designation is within the scope of practice of an advanced practice registered nurse (“ARNP”) as defined in 464.003, F.S. The Board’s Order, filed on December 4, 2018, states that the Board does not have sufficient information regarding Petitioner’s protocols and the facility policies to respond to the Petition for Declaratory Statement. Therefore, the Petition is Denied.
