RULE NO.:RULE TITLE:
6M-4.620Health and Safety Checklists
The Office of Early Learning hereby gives notice:
That on February 1, 2019, an Order was filed granting in part and denying in part, the request made by the President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Manatee County. The Office grants the waiver from the requirements of paragraph (2)(b) of Rule 6M-4.620, F.A.C., as it relates to the ratio of active credentialed staff within group size for school age children located at section 4, and denies the waiver to the pre-service training requirements located at section 18, as established in Form OEL-SR-6202, School Readiness Program Health and Safety Standards Handbook, incorporated by reference in said subsections. The petition was filed with the Office of Early Learning on or about December 5, 2018. The Notice was published on December 10, 2018 in Volume 44, no. 238 of the Florida Administrative Register. The granting of the waiver related to active credentialed staff for school age children will allow the purpose of the statute to be met while avoiding substantial hardship that would otherwise result; the pre-service training waiver request is denied, as it is a federal requirement of the Childcare Development Block Grant and therefore is not waivable.
