The Board of Nursing hereby gives notice that on April 16, 2013, it received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Vanessa A. Reynolds, on behalf of Lisa Bergeron, R.N., M.S.N. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Chapter 464.018(1) and 456.072(1), F.S., and subsection 64B9-8.005(13), Florida Administrative Code, as it applies to the petitioner. The petitioner is seeking the Board’s interpretation as to whether ventriculostomy flushing is within the scope of practice for a registered nurse. The Board will address this petition at its next meeting.
