The Board of Professional Engineers hereby gives notice:

of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Variance or Waiver, filed on April 23, 2018, by Andrew Schrader, P.E., C.G.C. The Notice of Petition for Variance or Waiver was published in Vol. 44, No. 82, of the April 26, 2018, Florida Administrative Register. Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of paragraph 61G15-35.003(1)(c), F.A.C., regarding the requirements that licensed professional engineers whose principal practice is structural field inspections possess each of the certifications identified in paragraph 61G15-35.004(2)(f), F.A.C., at the time of application. The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on June 21, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. The Board’s Order, filed on July 10, 2018, denied the Petition finding that the Applicant failed to demonstrate how he had achieved the purpose of the underlying statute by other means, and that compliance with the rule does not pose an undue hardship on the Applicant.
