The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: Thursday, August 6, 2020, 5:30 p.m.

PLACE: The meeting is being conducted as a VPM, which is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet. If you wish to participate in the VPM online, registration is required prior to joining the VPM. The VPM opens at 5:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 5:45 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer period. The presentation will be repeated at 6:30 p.m. Please provide adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety.

Project Description:

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites all persons to a virtual public meeting regarding the proposed design for a roundabout to replace the traffic signal at State Road (S.R.) 44 and Kepler Road. The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the design plans. A public hearing will also be held at a later date.

The goal of the project is to produce better operational and safety performance than the existing traffic signal can provide. The project also includes pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, nighttime lighting at the intersection, and landscaping in the center island and surrounding areas.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
