    The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

    DATES AND TIMES: Wednesday, September 9, 2020, 3:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. ET; Monday, September 14, 2020, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET

    PLACE: The workshops will be broadcast via webinars. All webinars will have the same presentation. Information on joining the webinar will be available at https://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/wildlife/freshwater-turtles/. Participation in the webinar will require access to the internet.

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Commission staff will present background on diamondback terrapin threats, conservation efforts, and possible changes to protections outlined in Rule 68A-25.002, F.A.C, Rules Relating to Reptiles. These webinars will provide the public opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback on potential rule changes affecting take and possession of diamondback terrapins in Florida. Interested parties include pet owners, turtle breeders, outreach and education facilities, and others interested in diamondback terrapin conservation. Written comments will also be accepted and can be sent to Freshwater.Turtles@MyFWC.com.
