    64E-16.007Treatment

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 14, 2017, the Department of Health received a petition for variance from Florida Administrative Code subparagraph 64E-16.007(4)(c)1, from James Panigall, Petitioner, on behalf of WasteWise, Inc. This rule prescribes that alternative treatment systems must show a satisfactory level of disinfection for the vegetative organisms listed in Table 1 and achieve a minimum Log 4 kill against Bacillus stearothermophilus spores or a minimum Log 4 kill against Bacillus Subtilis spores. The Petitioner requests a variance from the rule to allow the Petitioner to use Bacillus stearothermophilus and Mycobacterium terrae as sufficient microbiological evidence of a satisfactory level of disinfection.
