64E-5. Control Of Radiation Hazards |
1(1) The Department may designate routes within the State of Florida for all shipments requiring advanced notification under Rule 2064E-5.1506, 21F.A.C. Factors that the Department will consider in the designation of routes for shipments requiring advanced notifications are:
39(a) Population density in the vicinity of available highways;
48(b) Accident rates of available highways;
54(c) Transit time;
57(d) Time and day of the week during which the shipment is to occur; and
72(e) Routes that may have been previously designated by other states.
83(2) In lieu of the Department’s designation of routes, the interstate highway system and limited access roadways are preferred for transportation of radioactive waste requiring advanced notification pursuant to Rule 11364E-5.1506, 114F.A.C.
